A Natural Treatment to Slow the Progression of Macular Degeneration

When I still worked for my former employer I became friends with a lovely older man who I lovingly called Pops.

Pops and I worked together in the same department and after being there for a few months I noticed that Pops seemed to be having trouble with his eyesight.

He seemed to not be able to see fine details, and had blurred areas in his vision. After much urging on my part Pops decided to see his eye doctor.

He was diagnosed with Macular Degeneration. The doctor told him there wasn’t anything he could do.

I didn’t know much about this disease so I looked online for any information that I could find. I came across an article about taking supplements to slow down the progression of the disease.

I checked as many articles as I could and found these supplements listed over and over. So I made a trip to the local vitamin store and purchased the supplements recommended, which included,

• vitamin C

• Beta-Carotene

• Zinc

• Copper

I gave Pops the supplements along with the article and the recommended doses for the supplements.

Pops started taking them daily and he swears it has slowed the progression of the disease. It hasn’t seemed to be getting any worse lately.

There is no cure for Macular Degeneration, but I’ve read many stories about individuals starting a regimen of taking these supplements with great results.

However if you or your loved one is smoker it is not recommended that you use this treatment.

As always ask your doctor before taking any supplements especially if you’re on any prescription medication.
