Kitchen Remedy Saves the Day

A number of years ago I worked in my garden wearing shorts for only an hour or so late one morning.

Long story short, that one hour created the worst
sunburn I’ve ever suffered! This burn ached into the joints.

I could barely walk, in fact I used a cane to try and move around. Over the course of the next few days I tried every brand of sunburn remedy available at the local store.

None of them truly brought relief.

At this point I was as desperate as they come. The friend who had been running all my errands during this time told his mother about it and she suggested I try white vinegar.

Hmmm. I was skeptical, to say the least. Whereas everything seemed so hopeless, I opted to give it a try.

I soaked a few paper towels with white vinegar, then laid the towels onto the burn and left them be for the next half hour.

I could feel some relief almost instantly and was feeling much better by the end of the first treatment. I was walking normally after three treatments.

This burn was severe enough I still have a bit of orange peel on the one knee. In spite of everything, it never did peel and faded to a wonderful tan, which is something I never do!

I have used this remedy a number of times since then and fall in love with it each and every time. No more peeling!

On occasion it can sting a bit when I first apply it, but this is a rarity and well worth the relief it brings.

No more over-priced, chemical laden treatments for me and mine.
