Our Fourth Birthday Party

I am the happy, hectic mom of now 4.5 year old triplets. As they were premature and we lived far away from family, so I never really had a "big" birthday party for them. As we approached their fourth birthday I decided to change this.

My house, always resembling a jungle I decided to go with a jungle theme, our theme was "Welcome to the Jungle" I rented a jungle theme jump house, decorated the garage with leaves, monkeys and balloons.

For games we went on a jungle safari, I hid jungle animals throughout the yard, the children got to keep all the animals they found. In addition I had pith hats and binoculars for party favors as well as jungle theme coloring books and crayons.

I had three different cakes all of which were decorated with jungle animals plus animal crackers and gold fish. For drinks I had a tub of juicy juice. For the adults I had soft drinks, chips and small sandwiches.

Our invitations are still being talked about today, I had a picture of each of my kids faces in the place of animal faces. The invitation was attached with animal print ribbon to a box of animal crackers.

When planning your party try to think outside the box and do something that is unique to you and your family.
