My Mother's Hardships

My mother is suffering from the disease called
macular degeneration for the past 30 years.


In the beginning it showed up very slowly. Then its intensity started increasing with age as a result she began losing her sight every day.

Now she is almost blind and cannot see or recognize people.


Still she didn't lose hope and tried various treatments in ayurveda, homeopathy, and allopathic with no effect at all on the recovery.


She had lost her sight completely. She is brave and does all the cooking and washing by her own by sensing and feeling things.


She requires a support while going outside but can walk by her own inside the house.


She always wants to do things by her own without depending on others.


She enjoys her life even with such a fate and never surrenders to the darkness that she is experiencing.


I really respect her for overcoming the handicap and living life as a normal person.
