Clown Drama

My daughter was invited to attend a birthday party for one of her classmates.

She was really excited so I took her to Target to pick out a gift. After much deliberation, we finally decided on a clown doll and a Princess Ariel necklace.

My daughter is seven years old, so the two items seemed like suitable gifts.

When we arrived at the girl’s party, my daughter was thrilled. It was a fun party and lots of kids came and enjoyed themselves.

Then all the children were called to a large table for birthday cake and the opening of gifts. The birthday girl began opening up gifts eagerly.

After each gift she opened, she would smile with excitement and proudly show the object to the rest of the children there.

Everyone would then “ooh” and “awe” until she put it down and opened up the next present.

Then my daughter’s present came up. My daughter got very excited because she thought her present would be the best gift of all.

The birthday girl ripped it open and then let out a terrible shriek. The birthday girl began crying uncontrollably.

It turns out she was afraid of clowns.
