Dad's Close Call with Skin Cancer

A Hidden Mole NOT Skin Cancer
My Dad had been warned by his Dermatologist to watch out for moles.
His first incidence had come about a few years earlier. A mole had been growing on his forehead out of nowhere.
Most likely, it was due to sitting in the living room all afternoon and being exposed to the
UV rays thru the skylight.
That mole had grown deep and wide. However, it was all removed and rendered benign.
But it was just a few weeks ago which I noticed something weird on his temple, about the size of a penny.
Apparently it was on the side of his head and covered by his white hair. So it was quite hard for him to notice it.
Luckily, his Dermatologist removed it in a timely manner and proved to be benign as well.
I guess the lesson is that you can not be one hundred percent sure, unless your doctor checks your whole body for any abnormalities or even
Skin Cancer at least once a year.
Time is of the essence, indeed!
