Sun Damage Can Happen Anytime!

by A Clarke
(Ontario, Canada)

A few years ago I was out in the middle of a cold Canadian January on a frozen lake ice fishing.

Sun protection was the last thing on my mind - you don't have to worry about sunburns in the middle of winter when there's 4 feet of snow on the ground right?

I continued on fishing for the entire day. It was a successful fishing trip but I came home with more than just fish!

I had the worst sunburn of my life.

When I woke up the next morning, my eyes were swollen shut, my nose and cheeks were red and blistering and I was in intense pain!

I never would have thought that the sun would pose as a risk in the middle of January.

Had I just put sunscreen on I would have saved myself days of pain and suffering as well as reduced my risk of skin cancer.
