To Fit a Rash Guard

by Jemmer Pablo

I was in Thailand one summer doing the surfs and people started looking at me with a smirk on their faces.

I guess it was simply because of the rash guard I was wearing.

Most of the locals don’t even bother wearing one, and to my amazement, they simply don’t care about the sun protection it gives to them.

I guess they were laughing at me since my stomach is bulging on my fit rash guard.

I don’t know why they’d think that if you’re not fit, don’t wear fit attire even if the function is more important than the appearance.

Perhaps an education or more info about these things is needed to be more passed on to the locals so the next time they see someone with a big tummy, they’d understand the reason more than the whole appearance thing.

But of course, as with any westerner, I ignored all the smirks and in return, I secretly smirked on my own thinking on the red spots they usually end up with while my body is still smooth and having exposed and protected under the sun… an even tan shows perfectly.
